Our Dental Staff

	Name:	Rhonda Owens- Office Coordinator
	Bio:	Having worked in the orthodontic field since 1996 as everything from an assistant, a lab tech, a treatment coordinator & a financial/insurance coordinator, Rhonda came to our office in 2008 with all the experience needed to be our Office Coordinator. She and her husband, Lonnie, married in 2000 and have been blessed with a very energetic boy, Hayden, and most recently with the sweetest baby girl, Grace. They are a "TBall" family, which keeps them very busy! Rhonda not only keeps the office running smooth, but also, as a new "Scentsy" Consultant, helps us all keep our homes smelling nice!
	Name:	Suzanne Breaux - Financial Coordinator
	Bio:	Our resident "Cajun" and lover of all things "Saints" joined us in 2001 and is now our Financial Coordinator. Suzanne is usually the one to go over your contract with you and who files and manages your insurance. She is the mother of two beautiful daughters, Carrie and Casey. Suz loves cooking(and Drs. & staff alike love eating her cooking--especially her "world famous" roast), music festivals, Bunko, working out, and sharing these things with her family and friends.
	Name:	P.J. Reeves- Marketing Director
	Bio:	As the "senior" member of our team and Marketing Director, PJ has been in the dental, banking and marketing fields for longer than she cares to remember. Being with this practice since 1998, she has worked front desk, financials, ordered supplies, cleaned toilets...the list goes on! PJ has one son, DJ (an aspiring artist)--no husband (but would look for one if she had time). She loves to skydive, snorkel & swim with the turtles, parasail, look for antiques, cook, read, watch movies & win at Bunko (Zip-lining is on her "bucket" list)! Her favorite times are spent with best friends & family traveling and attending the Opre House in Galveston. She will probably expire at her desk and have to be removed!
	Name:	Melissa Knipe- Treatment Coordinator
	Bio:	Born and raised in Houston, "Mo" (as we lovingly call her) has worked in the ortho field since Jan. 2000--joining our team in 2004. She and her husband, Derrick, have two "children" (of the canine species, that is), Mocha and Lola. The love of travel has taken her to exotic and faraway places, but anywhere with a beach is just fine with her. However, she can have just as much fun "hanging out" with family & friends, going to concerts, shopping(our resident "model"), watching football, and eating Mexican food. Melissa is one of the first of our staff you will meet as she is our New Patient Treatment Coordinator. Her office has a beautiful view for you to enjoy as you are deciding to join our "patient family."
	Name:	Sarah Richard- Clinical Coordinator/Orthodontic Assistant
	Bio:	With 10 years experience in orthodontics and more energy that the "Energizer Bunny," Sarah has been with our office since 2007 and is now our Clinical Coordinator. She is a 5th generation Houstonian! She shares her life with husband, Evan, young son, Peyton, a boxer, "Bailey" and a dachshund, "Honey." Sarah is very athletic, plays sports and enjoys spending time outdoors. You will find her the happiest doing these things with her family at their ranch in Sealy.
	Name:	Linda Hearrell- Orthodontic Assistant
	Bio:	Another original Houstonian, Linda joined our assisting staff in 2008. She is the oldest of 4 siblings...with the youngest having "special needs." She and her husband, Joel, have 4 boys--Dakota, Dylan, Peyton and Luke. Linda is a "soccer"--"football"--"track"--"tae kwon do" MOM! She keeps us all "beautiful" as she is our "go to Mary Kay" distributor. She likes reading, traveling, playing board games and hanging out with her family (in her "spare" time--ha!).
	Name:	Anita DeLeon- Orthodontic Assistant
	Bio:	Many, many long years ago in 1979, Anita came to work for this practice as an ortho assistant(...and she just won't leave:)! She and her husband, Rudy, have been married for almost as many years and have two sons, Travis and Ross. The boys have provided them with 1 granddaughter, Rihanna (if you want to watch her "beam"--just ask Anita about "RiRi"), and another grandchild is on the way. Needless to say, her "hobby" is spending time with her family. Anita is often called upon as a translator to aid our Spanish speaking patients.
	Name:	Jaclyn Diaz- Orthodontic Assistant/ Facebook & Website Coordinator
	Bio:	Originally a "California girl," Jaclyn joined us as an ortho assistant in 2008. She is also our "face" behind our Facebook! In her free time, she likes to hang out with friends and family (by the way, she has a "twin" brother) and visit her boyfriend, Ryan, who attends Texas Tech in Lubbock. Although she does not have kids of her own, she loves to spoil her niece and nephew. Trips to the river and beach in the summer are a must! She will never turn down a sushi meal or a shopping trip (she is a shopping "Queen" and our own "fashionista":)!
	Name:	Edimar Cuevas - Orthodontic Assistant
	Bio:	Our Venezuelan import, Edi was born and raised there and completed her dental degree at Venezuela Central University in 2002. She has worked as an orthodontic assistant in our office since 2006 and is actively pursuing entrance into the ortho program here to get her license in the State of Texas (either a new Associate--or new competition--watch out)! Edi and husband, Juan Carlos Manzano, have a son, Juan Diego. She loves to dance and cook (her lunches fill our break room with the most enticing aromas). Edi is often called upon as a translator to aid our Spanish speaking patients.
	Name:	Jennifer Browning- Orthodontic Assistant
	Bio:	A graduate of U of H with a Bachelor of Science Degree (double major: Biology & Health Science), our Jennifer is not just another girl with a "pretty smile"...but has a "brain" too! After many years in the dental field, she joined our office as a RDA in 2010. Jennifer is outnumbered by the men in her life--"sweetheart" named Judge and three sons, Jacques, Andrew and Robert("RJ"). She loves watching movies with her family, working out and doing "crafty" projects.
	Name:	Shannon Figari- Orthodontic Assistant
	Bio:	Another addition to our office in 2011, Shannon joined our Assistant Staff bringing with her 14 years of experience, a bright smile and lots of "sass." She is married to John and has two "amazing" boys, Frankie and Rees, a boxer named "Bella" and a cat named "Manny." She loves just "hanging" with her family (who wouldn't--they go four wheeler riding and "mudding")! Shannon has also delighted us with her scrap booking and card making talents...really "crafty!"
	Name:	Corena New - Records/Digital Imaging Assistant
	Bio:	Born in Cobleskill, New York, Corena moved to Houston in 1977 and joined our assisting staff in 2006. As a new patient, she will take your x-rays and photos. Corena loves to spend time with her husband, Jimmy, her 3 wonderful children, Courtney, Justin & Miranda, her two step-children, Jeremy & Amanda, and the family pets, two dogs named "Cozmo" & "Chloe." Corena is our resident "baker"--she makes great-tasting, beautifully decorated cakes, etc. for us to enjoy!
	Name:	Austin Forrest- Lab Technician
	Bio:	Working here off & on since she was sixteen, Austin loves our office so much that when she graduated college, she chose to stay & work full-time in our lab. She is able to express her creative abilities and display her talent with each unique retainer she makes. She has one beautiful four-year-old son, Ethann (who often visits here & entertains us all), a loving mother, three sisters, a brother, and, of course, an "awesome" dad (which, if any of you don't already know...is Dr. Forrest---and he didn't "pay" her to say that:)! Austin and Ethann have a love for animals. With a macaw, a cat, a chipmunk, an iguana, and a fish...they definitely have a "full" house.
	Name:	Kim Holloway- Lab Technician
	Bio:	Although she misses the scenery and fresh mountain air of Utah (her roots), Kim admits there's nothing like great Texas hospitality. Having come from a large family of 6 siblings, Kim married the love of her life in 2004 and became a mother to 2 beautiful girls and 6 wonderful step-children of her own. Definitely a "full-house" during the holidays! She has worked in the dental field since 1990 with a six year sabbatical when she had her girls. In April 2011, Kim joined our office in our lab making retainers and appliances. She really enjoys working with her hands and, in her off time, loves to sew and "create" things such as hair bows, purses, baby blankets, etc. (much to the "delight" of the staff)!
	Name:	Kaye Janik- Front Desk Receptionist
	Bio:	One of the newest faces at "our" front desk, Kaye has worked in the Ortho field in Katy for about 5 years..joining us in 2011. She is also a registered dental assistant (multi-talented...yea! for us). She is married to Mark, has a daughter, Darian(who attends Katy High School), has four dogs, and has livestock "show" animals. Kaye and her family are very "dedicated" to KISD FFA. She represented our office at the livestock show this year (2012) and had her picture taken with the "Big Spenders." Her sweet smile and willingness to assist in any way possible have made her a welcome addition to our office.
	Name:	Angie McKay- Front Desk Receptionist
	Bio:	Angie is the smiling "red-headed ball of fire" that sits smack dab in the middle of the front desk area to greet you as you arrive at our office. She is married to Mike, and they have 3 adorable freckle-faced red-headed children, Matthew, Kylie & Brenden, that look just like her. Angie joined our office in 2008, left in 2009-missed us so much that she returned in 2010! She will verify your insurance for you and sends your "Welcome" packet prior to your first visit. You will often catch her singing (she has a beautiful voice) and dancing around--trying to "spread a little joy!"
	Name:	Sally Maxwell- Front Desk Receptionist
	Bio:	A 3rd generation Houstonian and 20 year resident of Katy, Sally first joined our office as a "patient's mom"--bringing her son, Erik, and daughter Isabel, to us. She "rejoined" us as a face at our front desk in April 2011. It's her friendly voice that will call and remind you of your first appointments to our office. Her many loves include her lhasa apso, cooking, traveling, and, oh....her new "young" hubby-Jon. Sally loves to "laugh til it hurts"...which "hurts" us all as her laugh is most infectious!
