Dear Forrest & Winkelmann: I don’t know where to begin! I am so completely thrilled and astonished by the expertise, efficiency, professionalism, warmth and outstanding atmosphere and ability of not just Drs. Forrest & Winklemann but also, of their entire staff. I have four children, 3 currently in orthodontic treatment and the fourth will be soon. We have been to – received consultations from - 5 other orthodontists in the Katy area and under the consistent care of another Katy area orthodontist for about 8 years. When my oldest daughter was still in her braces a full year after they were supposed to come off AND when the orthodontist who was caring for her refused to speak with me or give me a time frame, I decided it was time to move on and went to Forrest & Winkelmann, just on a hunch. Frankly, I was a bit skeptical thinking that with all those “bells and whistles” and fancy equipment in his office, he must charge an outrageous amount! Boy, was a wrong! Forrest & Winkelmann actually CARE about their patients! Huh, go figure! AND, he was actually a little less expensive and more proactive about treatment than most of the other orthos I’d visited. We had no small orthodontic situations, either. We have one kid with a severe open and cross bite, another open bite, etc., etc. However, Dr. Forrest was able to accomplish in about 6 weeks what took the other orthodontist several YEARS! I actually had to apologize to my kids for making them suffer needlessly with “old school” treatments and for not having gone to Forrest and Winklemann earlier! If only I had come to him earlier! Everyone that works in that office is so friendly, kind and happy that you can just tell they feel respected and love working where they do because they pass that feeling on to their clients. I have a college student who is out of town, and they work really hard with me to schedule his appointments around HIS schedule! The technology at the office is the absolute latest and they utilize it to their (and your) advantage. They are not a stagnant practice. They are continuing to learn and grow and thrive and always make you feel like a valued patient! Trust me, not every orthodontist does that! In my humble opinion, for orthodontic treatment, you simply cannot do better by yourself or your children than to go Dr. Forrest and Dr. Winkelmann! To Dr. Forrest and Dr. Winkelmann and the entire staff: You are an absolute treasure! Thank you!!!! Sincerely, Lisa S. |

Dear Dr. Forrest, It was great to see you again this week! With my lower bracket installation today, it appears the Wichert family has made a new record at your orthodontic practice: having 7 family members undergo treatments dating back to 2000 up to the present, with 4 of us currently undergoing treatment. We have all benefited greatly from the results and want to send this special note of thanks to you and your staff. We have grown with you and your business over the past 11 years. Some of the many things that keep bringing us back are: - First and foremost, the results! Bright, happy, straight smiles! - The professional attitude of you and your staff - Latest treatment technology and equipment - The open concept patient treatment area providing a beautiful, relaxing view out of the floor to ceiling windows, the bight and airy feeling, not a windowless closed cubicle - The very warm and friendly, family oriented offices with bilingual staff - Comfortable, clean and well appointed areas with TV, magazines, refreshments etc. - Home theater(due to our investment we hearby request lifetime passes!) - Efficient computer scheduling system with phone and email appointment reminders - Convenient location off Hwy 99 with quick, easy access from anywhere in the Katy area I could go on, but, the most important gift you and your staff provide is the care and special attention to detail and the beauty of the finished product: a bright smile, with clean, white, straight teeth. As a professional, and having spent some of my career in sales, I know first impressions are everything. For our children, as they grow into young adults with special events including: school pictures, going on a first date, first job interviews, graduation and award ceremonies, weddings and onward in their lives, their smiles and the confidence that a perfect smile brings is worth so much. Thank you again to you and your staff for the timely, professional and cost competitive service you provide to our community, friends and family. Warmest regards, The Wichert Family |

Dear Dr. Forrest, Dr. Winkelmann, and the Incredible Staff, You guys are truly the most kind, caring, and most of all patient group of people I know! I found out I needed braces a little later than most ordinary teenagers when I was living in Paris, France my freshman year of high school. To be honest braces were one of the last things I had ever wanted and I thought I had escaped them because, in my eyes, my teeth looked straight. I had a lot of uncertainty about how long I would "actually" have them on, the pain I would be enduring, and most of all how the French did their orthodontic treatment, despite all of my thoughts and fears I went to my consultation to a local orthodontist in Paris. It was there they told me I had an impacted canine and it would take about 2 years to correct - in my head I accepted it and knew it could be a lot worse. As one year turned into 1 1/2 and then 2, in my mind, I thought my time to get these frustrating medal appliances off of my teeth was coming to an end. However, I was far from done. Unfortunately, it seemed as if nothing was getting better, my teeth always hurt, and worst of all my one canine tooth didn't seem to be budging and coming down. After the end of my junior year my family got transferred down to the Cinco Ranch area where Dr. Forrest kindly agreed to take me as a transfer case. From the moment I stepped in the office I was done with the pain, rubber bands, and most importantly done with never seeing the light to get that picture perfect smile everyone always wants. At my initial consultation I was told I was going to have them on for another year and half. This devastating news made me tell them to take them off right then and there. Luckily, they didn't listen to me and immediately got started on my case... They kindly agreed to see me about every 4 weeks to try and get the ball rolling and in my mind hopefully get my braces off as soon as possible. I had college cheerleading tryouts in April for The University of Texas and the last thing I wanted was showing up in braces. With my determination to get my braces off I began coming about twice a month to get my braces tightened and every time asked what I can do to try and speed up the process. A couple months into my treatment I came in for a regular appointment and checked in. I was called back by a new orthodontic assistance - Sarah. As she was working with my teeth there was just something about her determination and genuinely kind attitude that caught my attention. Every time after that when I came in the office I would request for her to work on my teeth. After wearing my rubber bands 24/7 and doing EVERYTHING possible in my power to speed up this process the words were finally told to me that it was time to FINALLY get my braces off. My senior year, 3 1/2 years later, I was sitting in the chair getting my braces off! I truly never thought that day would come. To this day that has to be one of the best - if not the best - day of my life! The second I saw myself without braces everything finally felt like it paid off. I couldn't be more grateful for all the time and effort Dr.. Forrest and his staff took to help me have the beautiful smile I have today. In fact, with a combination of my experience in braces and a simple interest in the dentistry field I have been inspired to major in Biology with hopes to go to dentistry and then orthodontist school. I went from dislike to coming to the office to coming there frequently even after I got my braces off to visit some of my favorite people ever! They all have made such an impact on my life and giving me the inspiration to continue in the dental field in the future. I will never forgot all the great times I had at the office and all of the wonderful people who work there. Forrest Orthodontist has the most incredible caring and kind doctors and staff anyone could ever ask for!! I feel so fortunate to be able to be one of Dr. Forrest patients because he truly is the ultimate BEST!! Thank you again for everything! S.Evans.... |

"This marks our third mouth professionally rearranged at Forrest Orthodontics. We always felt like we were entering a familiar friends house, being called by name since our initial consultations. A very friendly, personal and professional atmosphere. Every now and then, one has the good fortune to know a group of people like you and your staff. Obviously, you were our choice. You surpassed your promise. We appreciate all your extra efforts and concern. A constant combination of professionalism coupled with true compassion speaks volumes, as does your personalized care. Dr. Forrest never rushed us or himself. He takes great care in thinking through the entire treatment, being up front about everything and answering all questions. The staff there is outstanding. We had constant and excellent service every time. The office has a positive environment with a fun group of people that have professional attitudes in color coordinating apparel. Efficiency runs from the time you come in, to the time you leave. Finally, there are the basics-location, convenient hours, follow up calls, organization, promptness, along with bottled water and great magazines to be read in magnificent surroundings! This gives a strong perception of stability to your practice and sense of comfort to the rest of us. Your office and staff are a direct reflection of you. Your reflection looks great! Thank you for the beautiful, healthy smiles and treating us with kindness during our visits! We have run out of teeth in our family, but just know that we have and always will recommend to anyone-Forrest Orthodontics. Your genuine regard is immeasurable as it is valuable. It has been our sincere pleasure to have been your patients. Smiles last forever!" -The Hart's |

"When my son's dentist said it was time to see an orthodontist, I didn't know where to begin, and having never had braces myself, I didn't know what to expect. After asking friends and physicians for recommendations, we were able to narrow our prospective "orthos" down to three. I took my kiddo with me for a visit to each, Dr. Forrest being the last. Although each doctor was pleasant, and they all gave me similar advice on the best way for orthodontics to proceed, my son and I were both most impressed with Dr. Forrest and his practice. Upon leaving our last consultation, I asked my son who among the orthodontists we had visited did he like best. He didn't hesitate before he answered Dr. Forrest. As I completely agreed, the decision was made. My children have been patients intermittently for over 6 years, and I have never been anything but pleased with the doctors, technicians and office staff. We have found them to be knowledgeable, professional, state of the art and just plain nice. This means a lot to a child as well as a parent. In addition, my son's smile is beautiful...more than nature intended. I wholeheartedly recommend this practice for orthodontic care and do so repeatedly. Time and time again, I hear other parents praising this practice as well. Dr. Forrest has been wonderful to work with and we actually look forward to our visits...this might have something to do with the theatre room and super fun seating...but the professionals within the cool building are what matter most and they are, without a doubt, the best in the business. Stop by for a visit and I'll just bet you end up a patient." -The Ricotta's |

"Our son and daughter have both had their orthodontic work done through Dr. Forrest, and we have been extremely pleased. Dr. Forrest is professional, thorough, extremely skilled, and pursues excellence. Bottom-line: our kids teeth are really straight! They have a great bite now! But, on top of that, Dr. Forrest is kind and fun to work with. He would have sit down meetings with us to talk through decisions. He never seems in a hurry. And...he has a really cool office! Our youngest son likes to come along to the older siblings' appointments just so he can go into Dr. Forrest's waiting room theatre!" -The Leggett's |

"When I was informed that I needed braces and I was in my 40's, I asked several friends who they would recommend and I was always told the same: Dr. Forrest and Dr. Winkelmann. I scheduled my appointment and for my 43rd birthday I had braces. From the first appointment to my last appointment, I always looked forward to my visits to the orthodontist office. The friendly and knowledgeable staff made wearing braces for 18 months easy and fun. When it was time for my children to have braces I knew immediately where they would go, Dr. Forrest. It is like an extended family and my children actually enjoyed their time in braces and learned the importance of taking care of their teeth. I would recommend Dr. Forrest to anyone and have many times." -The Crocker's |

Dear Dr. Winkelmann, Dr. Forrest and staff, I just had to write you while it was on my mind. Thank you for making our morning today. Cindy got her last section of her second set of braces off this morning. The day started off crummy, she wasn't feeling the greatest. By the time we got to your office, she had drank a huge smoothie and the day was looking up. After "Good Morning" greetings from Dr. Winkelmann, Dr. Forrest gave the thumbs up for Linda to take the lower braces off. This was followed with x-rays, final photo and retainer. Then, what a surprise, the balloons and candy, the announcement to the whole room that she had gotten the braces off, followed with the group photo. I am such a dork, I nearly cried. The portrait coupon for Cindy was the icing on the cake. Thank you for making such a fuss over her, it was really a kick! As we were leaving Cindy asked me, "Would you ask them to do dentistry here too?" Then in the car on our way to celebrate with a quarter pounder Cindy said, "I am going to miss coming here, they are so much fun!" Just thought you would all like to know that you have made a wonderful impression on a kid. What better accomplishment is there? Thanks also for her beautiful smile, Lisa P. |

Dear Dr. Forrest, I didn't think I would know what it would be like to laugh without covering my mouth or only "half smile" because I was embarrassed about my teeth. My self confidence has raised tremendously thanks to you. You have played such an important role in my life and want you to know how grateful and honored I truly am. I will miss our 6 week visits, but please know I am SO PROUD of my new beautiful smile. I am blessed to know someone as wonderful as you. Thank you again! -Heidi (one of our finished patients) |

Dr. Forrest, Dr. Winkelmann and staff, I studied abroad in France this summer with Texas State University and I was thinking about you all the way from Paris! My orthodontic treatment is coming to an end and I wanted to thank you so much for the genuine care that you have given me. I am now very proud to smile and show off my beautiful straight teeth everywhere I go. Not only do I have random people tell me I have a gorgeous smile, but they want to know where they could get one just like it, even in France where they don't smile! You and your staff have helped me feel comfortable with getting braces when I was feeling hesitant, and everytime I have visited everyone is always smiling and in a great mood. I appreciate the quality and professionalism that you provide in your office. Thank you! -Tisha T. |

Dr. Forrest, I appreciate the gesture you and Dr. Winkelmann have made in providing me with braces at no cost to my family or me. It means the world to my friends and me and the kindness you show to us in the military by your selfless contributions. I hope that I will be able to provide the same chance for a future soldier to showing my thanks. To pay it forward. Again, I thank you for the opportunity to flash a bright smile for my family and friends. I wish you the best in the future. -Tyler United States Air Force |

Dear Dr. Forrest and staff, This is a little delayed but I wanted to send you a quick thank you for what you did for me back in August. I came in to your office for a consultation to try to fix the small space between my front two teeth. I was trying to avoid braces(again)or a retainer that I would have to wear all day. You fixed my problem in one hour! You pulled the two teeth together with floss, put in a hidden retainer and I am thrilled. Both you and your staff were such a pleasure to work with. Everyone was so nice and helpful and very professional at the same time. I will definitely recommend your office to others in the future and plan to bring my children there in several years when their time is due for braces! Thank you again for everything! -Lisa G. |

Dear Dr. Forrest, It seems that in today's world, the only time that someone sends a follow up note regarding an issue is when they have a complaint to file! I am very pleased to contrast that with this little note to you today. Two of my three kids have been patients of yours for approximately 7 months now. Every time we come to your office it has been a very pleasant experience. Your staff is professional and courteous and other than your "Longhorn scrubs" you have been nothing short of awesome. We are already seeing positive results in the kids treatment. Thank you for your fine care and for all that you do to train your staff to be as good as they are! You can be very proud of your people and your practice. -The Panetti's |

We love and appreciate you all so much in everything you have done for Hanna and so many kids to help them reach their potential! She is just a sophomore at Cinco Ranch, but you already know she has high aspirations for her next 2 years and on into college. Her smile gives her confidence to pursue her dreams and feel good about herself. |

Dear Dr. Forrest, We wanted to thank you so much for the wonderful trip to Moody Gardens. It was great! I think we went to every attraction and spent a lot of time outside in the surf and sun. This really made our summer as we were not able to plan a vacation and it was a great thing to do before the start of school. Thanks again for your generosity. -The Cowand's |

Dr. Forrest, Just a quick note to say thank you for all the great care you and Dr. Winkelmann have given us over the last 10 years. But mostly to say thank you for treating Jenny so well on what she paid for her new retainer with a spring and rush job! Not everyone would have done that for her...and as a newlywed, I am trying to let her take care of her own expenses. That really helped and I appreciate your thoughtfulness. Thanks again, Susan |

Today was the first time I visited your website. I was amazed! Your site is EXTREMELY well done with photos, videos, testimonials, bios of the doctors, staff, related web links, etc. This is the most user friendly, informative, well planned website I have ever witnessed. Everything about it is first rate; a job well done. I was impressed with the video tour Dr. Forrest gave of his office, the check in desk, the fantastic children's waiting area, the sterilization room and the 3-D x-ray. I was impressed with the photos and accomplishments of current and previous patients and community information(especially the "niceness" competition with Sonic). I was COMPLETELY surprised when I saw, on the home page, a photo of my daughter and links to the songs she had recorded! How cool is that! Thanks! Once again, thanks to Dr. Forrest and his staff for such an amazing website, but most importantly, his concern for the well being and care of his patients. -Carl Smith |
