NAME: Dr. Kim K. Forrest, D.D.S., M.S.
BIO:Dr. Kim K. Forrest graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1979. He was accepted to the top dental program in the nation and graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in 1983 with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. He practiced family dentistry and orthodontics for 14 years before specializing in orthodontics. In addition to three different two-year continuing education courses in orthodontics(taken in Atlanta, Dallas, and Harrisburg); Dr. Forrest attended the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch at Houston Graduate Orthodontic Program. From 1997 to 1999, he was the Chief Resident of Orthodontics. He graduated at the top of his class and holds a certificate in Post Graduate Orthodontics and a Masters of Science Degree in Orthodontics from UTHSC at Houston, as well. Dr. Forrest has received numerous awards for his research in orthodontics, has published articles on surgical orthodontics and holds several patents. Most recently, he was voted one of Texas Top Dentists, Specialist in Orthodontics, in the November 2006 issue of Texas Monthly and voted "Top Doc" in H Houston Magazine. Dr. Forrest had the honor of teaching graduate orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics as Associate Clinical Professor at the University Of Texas Dental School in Houston. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Greater Dental Society, the Southwest Society of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists. He is also Board Certified. Dr. Forrest and his three daughters: Austin, Skyler and Summer, along with his grandson Ethann, all reside in the Katy area. Dr. Forrest is an avid supporter of the Katy area schools and their organizations.

NAME: Dr. Sam A. Winkelmann, D.D.S., M.S.
BIO:Dr. Sam A. Winkelmann is a native Houstonian. He attended Rice University and the University of Houston, and received his general dentistry training at the University of Texas Dental Branch graduating in the top ten of his class in 1968. The following two years, he did a residency in orthodontics and received a Masters of Science Degree and a certificate to specialize in orthodontics in 1970. He began his practice in July of 1970. Dr. Winkelmann has been actively engaged in the private practice of orthodontics for 37 years. As associate clinical professor of orthodontics at the University of Texas at Houston Dental Branch, Dr. Winkelmann stays at the forefront of orthodontics and this allows him to keep up with the latest advancements, thus providing the best possible care for his patients. He is a member of the Greater Houston Dental Society, the Texas Dental Association, the Southwest Society of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists. He and his wife, Ginger, live in the Katy area. Ask him about his grandchildren. He is always eager to talk about them.

NAME: Dr. Angela I. Orfanos, D.D.S., M.S.
BIO:We are happy to announce the addition of Dr. Angela Orfanos to our practice. She was born and raised in Houston. She went to The University of Texas in Austin where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Minor in Biology. Her father Frank is a dentist, and while growing up, he had always inspired her to enter into the dental profession. She began dental school in 2002 at The University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. This is also where she met her husband, John Orfanos. Dr. Orfanos then went onto complete her residency in Orthodontics at the UT Dental Branch, where she obtained a Master of Science degree and her Orthodontic Certificate. Dr. Orfanos completed her Board Certification in 2009 with the American Board of Orthodontists (ABO). She practiced for three years in Cleveland, Ohio while her husband was completing his residency there. They both returned to Houston this summer and are happy to be back in the great state of Texas. Dr. Orfanos will be working Tuesdays and Thursdays at Dr. Forrest's office. She enjoys time with her husband, family, and friends and espcially enjoys improving smiles.
